What is Design at Work?
Design at Work is the meeting-place for those with a passion for innovation.
The Design at Work is a trade show that aims at visualising innovation, design and product development of materials, products and services. A wide range of international companies and organisations will present and share their know-how and latest innovations at Kortrijk Xpo.
At the trade show, both professionals and consumers can explore the innovations that will change the world and our own future. Trade show 2009
Design at Work is a unique crossover platform on innovation and has been initiated because dynamic enterprises need an opportunity to show the results of their design efforts and encounter other companies that can carry their ideas even further. Design at Work is mainly set up for the benefit of innovative professionals, who embrace the future of their ideas, products and services.
During the event, representatives of the whole design industry have the chance to meet and interact with potential partners and customers. This has proven to be a success formula for companies that want to explore new opportunities. All kinds of decision makers such as CEO’s, R&D managers, entrepreneurs and marketers can explore worldwide innovations. Designers, product developers and engineers can get inspired and share their know-how. Purchasers, dealers and business developers can mingle, network and set up new collaborations.

Background Design at Work
Design at Work, an initiative of the Interieur Foundation, was part of last year’s biennale ‘Interieur08’ and was appraised as one of the most exciting parts of the event. Many professionals from a wide variety of companies showed up, ranging from BASF, over Philips and New Holland to Steelcase. From now on Design at Work will become a vast and 2-yearly platform that aims at making innovation visible.




Last year’s press coverage (873 journalists from 5 continents) has been enormous, as well as the attention for the upcoming 09 edition with articles in international magazines such as Wallpaper (UK), Items (NL) and many others. This confirms our strong belief in the professional and international demand for a platform on innovations.
